Q-Team Microwave EME DXpedition
NEWS by HB9Q, dated 2020-05-05:

We are very sorry to inform you, that we are forced to POSTPONE our May 2020 DXpedition to Rhodes due to our flight was canceled and there still is a 2 weeks quarantine in Rhodes if you arrive from abroad.
But now the GOOD NEWS! We have already reserved/payed for the QTH and we changed our flight tickets to May 2021. So we will be in SV5 in MAY 2021! We will send out detailed information this summer. But make sure you are home and QRV 14./15./16./ and 21./22./23. May 2021!

Take care and keep safe!

Vy 73, Dan HB9Q for the SV5/HB9CRQ Team

We are very happy to announce our spring Q-Team DXpedition!

This time we will fly to Rhodes, the mayor island of the Dodecanes. We will be on the island for 18 days, doing some sightseeing/vacation and of course EME on 1296, 23xx, 3400, 5760 and 10xxx MHz.
The house on the southeast side of the island is already booked, so are the flights from Zurich to Rhodes and back. Team members this time are Sam HB9COG, Dan HB9CRQ and Sue Dan’s YL.
Our QTH is in KM36xa, directly at the beach. So MR should be perfect! For MS we expect some 10 to max 15° elevation due to the mountains and some trees (we will only know exactly once we are there). But in anyway, we should have good enough MS to work the US-Westcoast. We decided to be QRV during 2 weekends, hoping that it helps you guys to be QRV.

Hopefully more people take advantage of automated Doppler control. Especially on 6 and 3cm it is a MUST for successful QRP operations.

We’ll have internet access. During our activities we’ll be stand-by on the HB9Q band loggers. We also will check our e-mails several times a day.
